Diffused Thermal Films (Niloofar Plus)

The uniform diffusion of light rays into the greenhouse promotes balanced and harmonious growth across all parts of the plant. In addition to retaining more heat inside the greenhouse, diffused thermal films also enhance the quality and distribution of incoming light. This type of film scatters sunlight and spreads its rays evenly from all angles, ensuring that all parts of the plant — including the lower sections — benefit equally from solar radiation.

By utilizing the light-diffusing properties of these films, crop yield can increase by 8 to 10 percent. Therefore, considering this factor is especially important in regions with hot summers.

Anti-UV: This additive extends the useful life of the greenhouse film. Depending on the desired lifespan, film thickness, and geographical region, a specific type and amount of UV stabilizer is used.

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate): The use of this polymer not only improves thermal properties but also increases the film’s transparency, softness, and overall durability.

IR (Infrared Additive): This additive helps prevent temperature fluctuations throughout the day and night. Additionally, it reduces fuel consumption required to maintain the greenhouse temperature.

Anti-Fog: This additive prevents the accumulation of water droplets on the film surface, improving light transmission into the greenhouse. It also helps prevent the droplets from falling onto the plants, thereby reducing the spread of pests and fungal diseases.

Antivirus: Many insects are carriers of viral and fungal diseases. By using a specific grade of this additive, the activity of these insects under the plastic film is limited, preventing the spread of diseases within the greenhouse. In addition to its antiviral properties, this additive does not harm bees and is suitable for crops that require pollination.

Light Diffuser: The light that passes through the film and enters the greenhouse is divided into direct and diffused light. Films containing this additive may appear opaque to the naked eye, but this does not mean less light transmission. Light diffusion reduces plant shading and ensures uniform light distribution inside the greenhouse, allowing all parts—especially the lower sections of the plants—to receive adequate light. It also prevents scorching and provides a moderate cooling effect.

Greenhouse Structure

  • The metal structure of the greenhouse must be carefully inspected to ensure there are no sharp protrusions that could tear the film.
  • The wire mesh or galvanized wire should be free of any rust, bumps, or sharp edges.
  • Avoid using straps or bands that may cause thermal damage to the film.
  • To prevent thermal damage, no equipment such as heating pipes should come into contact with the film.
  • If two greenhouses are installed adjacent to each other, planning must ensure there is enough space between them for placing and installing the film.

Film Installation

  • Before installation, the film should be kept in calm, moderate air at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C.
  • Before unrolling the plastic roll, all objects on the ground that might cause tearing or puncturing the film must be removed.
  • Avoid walking directly on the film or placing assembly tools such as ladders on it.
  • The tension of the film should be enough to prevent it from shaking in the wind. Excessive tension will cause elongation and premature damage to the film.
  • When installing films transversely, an overlap of at least 50 centimeters between sheets is required.

Condition of the Film upon Delivery

Upon delivery, ensure the packaging is intact. If any defects are found, it is recommended to take photos of the damaged area and report the issue immediately.

Storage Conditions Before Installation

  • Keep rolls in their original packaging and store them in a place protected from external elements (sunlight, heat, rain).
  • The storage duration by the end user should be less than three months.
  • It is recommended to store the rolls in a dry place.
  • Transporting, handling, and storage of film rolls should be done horizontally.

Storage Conditions After Installation

Immediately after installation, the outer surface of the film on the structure should be coated with a layer of matte white vinyl acrylic paint.
Paints containing organic solvents or their mixtures must not be used.
This coating helps prevent an increase in the structure’s temperature and ultimately protects the film.

Usage Conditions

Greenhouse Ventilation:

Excessive heating of the greenhouse reduces the film’s lifespan. Proper ventilation is necessary even when no crops are being grown inside.

Film Tension:

Regularly inspect the film to ensure proper tension, preventing movement on the structure or the formation of water pools.

Plant Protection Materials:

  • Avoid direct contact of the film and structure with pesticides and fumigants.
  • If the soil is disinfected with chemicals, cover the ground with a plastic film that has impermeable properties to prevent damage to the plastic cover from disinfectants.
  • The amount of pesticides used should not exceed the limits specified for the film.
