Diffuse Thermal Films (Niloufar Plus)

The uniform diffusion of light rays into the greenhouse promotes balanced and coordinated growth of all parts of the plant. Diffuse thermal films not only retain more heat inside the greenhouse but also improve the quality of incoming light and radiation. This type of film, by scattering sunlight and diffusing its rays in all directions, ensures an even distribution of solar energy to all parts of the plant, allowing the lower parts to benefit from sunlight just like the upper parts. By utilizing the light diffusion properties, crop yield increases by 8 to 10 percent. Therefore, considering this factor is especially important in regions that experience hot summers.

Anti-UV: This additive increases the useful life of the greenhouse film and depending on the desired lifespan, thickness, and geographic region, a specific type and amount of UV is used.

EVA: The use of this polymer not only improves thermal properties but also increases transparency, softness, and the durability of the film.

IR: This additive prevents temperature fluctuations during day and night and also reduces fuel consumption needed to maintain greenhouse temperature.

Anti-fog: This additive prevents water droplets from accumulating on the film surface, improves light transmission into the greenhouse, and by stopping droplets from falling on plants, it prevents the spread of pests and fungal diseases.

Antivirus: Many insects are carriers of viral and fungal diseases. Using a special grade of this additive limits the activity of these insects under the plastic film, preventing disease spread in the greenhouse. This additive, besides having antiviral properties, does not harm bees and is suitable for crops that require pollination.

Light Diffuser: The light passing through the film into the greenhouse is divided into direct and diffused light. The film with this additive appears opaque to the naked eye, but this does not mean less light passes through. Light diffusion reduces plant shading and provides an even distribution of light inside the greenhouse, so all parts, especially the lower parts of the plant, have access to light. It also prevents burning and offers a moderate cooling effect.

Greenhouse Structure

  • The metal structure of the greenhouse must be carefully inspected to ensure there are no sharp protrusions that could tear the film.
  • The wire mesh or galvanized wire must be free of any rust, bumps, or protrusions.
  • Avoid using straps or tie bands that may cause thermal degradation of the film.
  • To prevent thermal damage, no equipment such as heating pipes should come into contact with the film.
  • If two greenhouses are installed adjacent to each other, they must be planned to allow enough space between them for placing and installing the film.

Film Installation

  • Before installation, the film should be kept in calm and moderate air at a temperature between 15 to 30 degrees Celsius.
  • Before unrolling the plastic roll, remove all objects from the ground that could cause tearing or puncturing of the nylon.
  • Avoid walking directly or placing assembly tools such as ladders on the film.
  • The tension of the film must be enough to prevent it from moving in the wind. Excessive tension causes elongation and premature deterioration of the nylon.
  • When installing films transversely, the nylon sheets must overlap at least 50 centimeters.

Condition of Nylon Upon Delivery

Upon delivery, ensure the packaging is intact, and if any damage is found, it is recommended to take a photo of the damaged area and report it.

Storage Conditions Before Installation

  • Keep rolls in their original packaging and store them in a protected place away from external factors (sunlight, heat, rain).
  • The storage duration by the end user should be less than three months.
  • It is recommended to store the rolls in a dry place.
  • Transportation, handling, and storage of nylon rolls must be done horizontally.

Storage Conditions After Installation

Immediately after film installation, the outer surface of the film on the structure must be coated with a layer of matte white vinyl acrylic paint. Paints containing organic solvents or their mixtures should not be used. This prevents an increase in the temperature of the structure and ultimately protects the film.

Usage Conditions

Greenhouse Ventilation:

Excessive heating of the greenhouse reduces the lifespan of the nylon. Proper ventilation is necessary even when no crop is grown inside the greenhouse.

Film Tension:

Periodically inspect the film to ensure adequate tension, preventing movement of the film on the structure or water pooling.

Plant Protection Materials:

  • Avoid direct contact of the film and structure with pesticides and fumigants.
  • If the soil is disinfected with chemicals, to prevent damage from disinfectants to the plastic cover, cover the ground with plastic film that has impermeable properties.
  • The amount of pesticides used should not exceed the limits specified for the film.
